45% Leak Reduction with Ada System

One of the biggest problems in managing water losses is properly mapping the distribution, considering all field variables, such as unstable pressure. This was the pain presented by a water concessionaire, located in the southeast region of Brazil. 

With a vision focused on socio-environmental responsibility and excellence in the provision of basic sanitation services, the concessionaire is constantly looking for innovative solutions that optimize management, implementing the Ada System test for 2 sectors in the region.

What are the variables in the field monitored by the Ada System?

Each sector has around 12 km of network and 1,200 homes served. This is a complex operation, as there is intermittent water supply from a few hours to several days and the sector has 4 boosters (pressure pumps throughout the network). Naturally, this operation requires several daily operations of the valves and pumps, well above average.

And how was the test with the Ada System?

However, all these factors did not prevent the Ada System from properly mapping the distribution, delivering good results in locating leaks and improving the loss rate from 382 Liters/connection/day to 211 Liters/connection/day.

We were satisfied with the Artificial Intelligence algorithms that proved to be robust to meet the different operations of each Distributor.
