One of the biggest problems in water loss management is properly mapping distribution, taking into account all the variables in the field, such as unstable pressure. This was the issue presented by a water utility located in the southeast region of Brazil.

With a focus on social and environmental responsibility and excellence in providing basic sanitation services, the utility is constantly seeking innovative solutions to optimize management, implementing the Ada System test for 2 sectors of the region.

What are the variables in the field monitored by the Ada System?

Each sector has about 12 km of network and serves 1,200 households. It is a complex operation, as there is intermittent water supply, ranging from a few hours to several days, and the sector has 4 boosters (pressure pumps along the network). Naturally, this operation requires several daily maneuvers of valves and pumps, well above average.

And how was the test with the Ada System?

However, all these factors did not prevent the Ada System from properly mapping distribution, delivering good results in locating leaks and improving the loss rate from 382 liters/connection/day to 211 liters/connection/day.
